Project Production Update #4

Hello hello! I have updates on all the fixes regarding the itabag samples!

All the itabag colors all got an upgrade! Below is the original sample next to the new orange color. 

Since I already needed to pay to redo the print issues I told the factory that I wanted the back of the bag to have colored ears to match the body. 

The original samples where blank/white because the factory could not print on the back of the face layer. We decided to add a colored fabric to hide the white. 

Because of the additional new fabric, we decided it was best to color match with the rest of the bag colors so that it would seamlessly work together - Which meant all the bags got color upgrades with their print fixes!

I'm really excited about these changes! I think the new colors look fantastic.

We also got an update that all the thumbgrips have finished production! Look at all the little corgis, wow!!

I got a few updates on the plush bag [like the labels and tags are finished] but they will be sending me photos the working prototype before mass production. I'll be back with an update as soon as I get those photos FINGERS CROSSED they got the measurements right this time.

The Wallet has been ordered but no updates as of yet on production --  the factory making the wallets are also making my ita bags and so their focus first are the bag corrections at this time.

It is always unfortunate when production delays happen and timelines can get behind. I am so happy to be working on this project and looking forward to everyone getting their bags this year! I'm trying my best to make sure all the products meet my expectations so that you get an item that you love and I do hope that these updates show that I am working hard. ;u;

Hey y'all I'm sorry there's been silence for a bit but my factory has been on cny break and they just got back! They are currently working on fixing up the print issues on the itabags as well as trying to figure out a way to make the backs of the ears not white. They cannot print on the back but we are testing out some materials to see if it will look better. Thanks you so much for your patience! 

Also to address some concerns regarding the plush bag on the last update:

I have discussed with the factory about the sizing issue and the strap material issue already and those will be fixed. Please do not worry. The measurements on the campaign are the size the bag is meant to be. The photo I provided in the last post was to show the sizing was incorrect in my sample.

The only changes on the plush bag:

• the inside material/print will be a soft material with my logo
• a bigger inside pocket
• zipper puller changed from a toast to a paw that matches the itabag
• the material color will be just a little bit different but as close as i can get to the original plush bag design!

Hey everyone! I got my samples in of all the itabag colorways. There are a few adjustments I need to make in the print files before I can safely 100% order production which I'll explain below. I don't want to order new samples so it wont be that long of a wait, thankfully my factory will just make sure all the prints come out correctly before I approve things!

The biggest change is I may swap the orange color for something less neony. I'll definitely do another update to see what the opinion is new vs old orange color once I get all those print samples. I also think the new orange color will match way better with the colors in the plush bag, so good news for those who plan to have both!

As for print errors the biggest worry I have is the company accidentally swapping the wrong backs to the wrong fronts. My tricolor and black bags came to me swapped and I made sure to let my rep know about it. My fingers are crossed this mistake doesn't happen during production because it is a huge flaw but there isn't a way for me to 100% be sure its done correctly before all the bags are finished... ><

There are a few minor printing errors in the  artwork files I will have to fix before production. I'll be working on today and hopefully putting into print before next week. I can get these test printed and make 100% sure that they come out pretty before final production so these aren't that big of a worry thankfully! ^^

Some updates I plan to implement in the final bags:

1. Adding color to the back of the ears, as of right now they are just the white PU and unprinted. I asked my rep and she said it was possible so fingers crossed!

2. Adding a border around the eyes! I feel like as I look at the bags in person the eyes blend in on some of the bags, so I think this will help them stand out a bit more.

(even here you can see a printing error on his paw ;_; augh)

For the plush bag I think I am happy with mostly everything but the color, the width, and the strap they mailed me. I did ask the representative about these issues and they assured me that these are fixable without a second sample! Fingers crossed.

I adore my first plush bag sample that I used for the campaign, I literally use it daily as a personal bag. but it is just way too expensive to make. ;__; I do think this second bag will be amazing just needs a little bit of work (the size comparison is so funny looking asdljk)

Finally for the wallet - I am super happy with the sample I have for the wallet. I have been using it daily since I got it. Do keep in mind, if I do end up changing the orange in the bags, the orange in the wallet will be updated as well so I can keep everything cohesive. I do think I will update some of the artwork for final production but otherwise I'm very excited to send it off for production!

Anyway, I'm sorry this update is more prototyping work and not like an "AH! BAGS ARE BEING PRODUCED!!" update but I want to be sure everything comes out perfect for yall! I'll be back soon with an update on the new prints and we can all decide what looks best.

I'm do apologize it has been a bit, I have been trying to hold back on giving empty updates because several factories are dealing with covid shutdowns. I do have some new colorway prints as well as the new plush bag work! So I'm happy to share some photos with you before the holiday week.

ITABAG COLORWAYS

I know these aren't the best photos! But I am extremely happy with all the puppies. The kitty bag I decided to have redone without blush and a white outline for the tail. I've already approved all the puppy bags to be assembled into their bags while they reprint the kitty one. I'm hoping for a full bag update soon! As well as possibly better photos. 

PLUSH BAG

I am VERY excited for the new plush bag. The inside seems to be swapped out with a softer plush fabric. There will be better pockets. The only issue I currently have is the colors! BUT I did ask this factory to mail me their packet of samples so I can easily pick a better set of colors for the final bag.

Thank you SO much for your support! I hope to have an update soon after the holidays. Do keep in mind that China celebrates a 2 week long new years at the end of January. Once all the samples are finalized and approved, then we will be in the mass production waiting period.
